This course also provides the students with the knowledge regarding the method and design involved in traffic engineering. This course emphasizes on introduction to highway and traffic, transportation planning, pavement materials, construction of flexible pavement, construction of rigid pavement, traffic control equipment and road furniture, flexible pavement design, junction design, traffic management and highway maintenance.

Principle of Economics course exposes students to the knowledge and basic principles of economics. The course emphasizes on fundamentals of microeconomics, elasticity of demand and supply, theory of consumer behavior, theory of production, market structure, fundamental of macroeconomics, money and banking system, role of government and macroeconomics problems.
BUILDING SERVICES 1 course provides knowledge to the students on the concept and basic principle in building services. The course focuses on ventilation, air conditioning system, cold and hot water supply systems, gas supply system, telecommunication system and drainage system. This course also exposes students to the knowledge on firefighting system and refuses disposal system for multi-storey building.
Construction technology 1
DATA ANALYSIS cover the fundamental data analysis concepts. The course shall expose students on the basic concept of data analysis that covers data collection methods, presentation of data, numerical description measures, correlation and regression and application of statistical software.
ELECTRICAL WIRING course exposes students to the various aspects of wiring
installation according to the MS IEC 60364 standard.
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH FOR ENGINEERING course is designed to impart understanding of the self-regulatory concepts and provisions under the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA).

ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS emphasizes the concept of electronic device applications.
The course covers the fundamental of electronic circuit application which include
power supply unit, oscillator, operational amplifier, timer, filters and AD/DA
converters. The content cover circuit configurations, operation and application of the
COMPUTER AIDED ELECTRICAL DRAWING provides knowledge and exposure
on the usage of AutoCAD software. The course focuses on the application of the
software to produce drawings of graphics, electrical / electronic component symbols,
circuit schematics and electrical wiring layout diagram. The skills acquired from this
course will also equip students with the ability to learn and use other similar software
INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA APPLICATIONS exposes students to the process of creating interactive multimedia
POWER ELECTRONICS couse is aimed to equip students with the knowledge and skills related to power electronics devices and its application in power conversion
PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER (PLC) AND AUTOMATION provides knowledge regarding the concept and principle of automation system as well as PLC. This course emphasizes the relationship between relay ladder logic/hardwired and PLC, application of industrial sensors and actuators through the PLC, design process, programming and maintenance method. This course also provides knowledge and skills in designing of automation system based on the applications of PLC.
MOTOR CONTROL & DRIVES course provide student with the knowledge of the principle operations and applications of motor control and electrical drives. This course covers the methods of speed control and braking methods for AC and DC motors.
EMBEDDED ROBOTIC presents the combination of mobile robots and embedded
systems, from introductory to intermediate level. It is structured in three parts, which
are embedded systems, mobile robot, and mobile robot applications.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP focuses on the fundamentals and concept of entrepreneurship
in order to inculcate the value and interest in students to choose entrepreneurship as a
TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK provides students with the basic knowledge of telecommunication network of Next Generation Networks (NGN). This course focuses on NGN architectures, protocols and services, including technologies and regulation.
ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS is designed to provide students with the knowledge
related to AC of electrical circuits.
FIBER OPTIC COMMUNICATION SYSTEM introduces students to the basic
concept of fiber optic in communication systems with environmental sustainability.
This course covers fiber optic characteristics, components in fiber optic system,
losses in fiber optic cable and the fundamental concept of optical measurement. This
course also provides knowledge in splicing techniques with safety awareness,
multiplexing techniques and design consideration in fiber optic communication link.
INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA APPLICATION exposes students to the process of creating interactive multimedia presentation including the role and design of multimedia systems which incorporate digital audio, graphics and video, underlying concepts and representations of sound, pictures and video, data compression and transmission, integration of media, multimedia authoring, and delivery of multimedia. Students will produce a final digital interactive multimedia.
